A STATUE OF OUR LADY CRIES IN BYBLOS (LEBANON)
The statue of the Virgin would cry tears of blood and oil in the sanctuary of Our Lady of the Seas in Byblos, in the north of Beirut, as reported by some Lebanese media.
Some Lebanese media reported that the statue of the Virgin would cry tears of blood and oil in the sanctuary of Our Lady of the Seas in Byblos, in the north of Beirut. The phenomenon occurred in connection with the presence of the Pope Benedict XVI in the country.
As the national news agency ANI stated, drops of blood and of oily matter would come out from the right eye of the statue.
According to the Voice of Lebanon radio, the phenomenon would have begun around 8 p.m. on Friday, 14th September. Father Charbel Beiruti, director of the Monastery of Our Lady of the Seas, has personally examined the statue. Until now, no commission of the Church went on the site to examine the phenomenon.
